Classes are structured so students can learn the most during their class while still having fun. Class starts with a physical fitness warm up and then dives right into the lesson of the day. The week is broken up in half with two days of standing techniques and two days of ground technique. Classes end with a cooldown or game students can enjoy.

Self-Defense is a last resort!
Our students are taught a lot of really fun and cool techniques. That is not where their learning begins though... Our students are advised to use their words, seek help from a trusted adult, avoid conflict and disengage whenever possible. Physical self-defense is taught as a LAST RESORT. We teach our students to use their training responsibly and that there will be consequences if we are notified they are abusing their training.

Student Progression
COME TO CLASS -> LEARN -> PRACTICE -> EARN STRIPES -> TEST -> ADVANCE
Students are expected to train at least twice per week.
At the end of each month, students can show their fitness skills and techniques being learned to earn a stripe on their belts. The stripes recognize attendance, curriculum development, physical improvement and effort.
Every four months, eligible students complete belt testing involving fitness and their required curriculum
PROGRESS. NOT PERFECTION.

Safety!
CONTACT COMES AFTER THE FUNDAMENTALS
New students aren't simply thrown into sparring. They first learn fundamentals. New students can be shadowed closely by a coach to ensure proper movement and stances while learning technique.
All students train with comparable experience levels when learning during class. Any sparring drills are performed with proper protective equipment especially if there is contact.
All coaches are required to maintain CPR/First Aid certifications through the Red Cross or proper training facility.
